Call for applications for the NFVF virtual classes

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR NFVF VIRTUAL CLASSES

The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Sports, Arts, and Culture invites all filmmakers to apply to participate in virtual classes. Eight modules will be available and applicants can only apply for one. These virtual classes will be facilitated by different industry experts from different fields of the filmmaking industry. The classes will run from the 30th August – 30th October 2020 and successful applicants will be provided with data to enable attendance. The objective of these classes is to enhance the skills and knowledge of filmmakers.

Background

The NFVF’s objective is to increase the number of people trained in the industry, particularly in areas of scarce skills. The virtual classes will enable filmmakers to access additional knowledge. We will also cover larger geography because classes can be accessible within South Africa.

Selected applicants have to be available to attend their chosen module as per the following schedule:

An applicant has to be;

  • South African citizen or permanent resident in SA.
  • with limited experience in the chosen module
  • access to laptop/PC

 

The required documents:

  • A one-page letter of motivation
  • Certified ID Copy (valid for 6 months)
  • Comprehensive CV (Clearly listing the experience acquired)
  • Social media page handles
