CALL FOR ENTRIES FESPACO 2017
FESPACO is pleased to inform professionals of the film and audio-visual industry that registration for film selection under the 25th edition of the African film biennial event, due 25 February to 4 March 2017, is now open.
Two sections are being considered:
Official competition section, open to films by directors from Africa and Diaspora. It includes the following categories :
Fictional feature films: minimum length of 60mn ;
Fictional short films: between 1mn and 35mn ;
Documentary films: minimum length of 26mn ;
TV serials: 3 episodes of 13 to 26mn each ; and
Films from African Cinema Schools: length between 3mn to 15mn.
Out-of-competition section, open to films by filmmakers worldwide (Africa from the perspective of…, and Discoveries).
Only films not exceeding two (2) years of age by 31 December 2016 will be considered. Registration package includes the following materials:
- – Completed entry form (available from the Web Site);
- – Technical and artistic sheet of film;
- – Short French and English synopsis of film; and
- – Two (2) DVDs of film.
Deadline for registration is 31 October 2016.
