SAFTAs open the call for Discretionary Award Nominations

15TH ANNUAL SOUTH AFRICAN FILM AND TELEVISION AWARDS (SAFTAS) OPEN THE CALL FOR DISCRETIONARY AWARD NOMINATIONS

The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture and custodian of the SAFTAs extends a call to the South African film and television industry to submit nominations for the following awards:

LIFETIME ACHIEVER AWARD:

This award is presented to an experienced individual with an extensive and outstanding contribution to the South African film and television industry, both locally and internationally.

YOUTH ACHIEVER AWARD:

This award is presented to a young individual who has demonstrated excellence in their craft. Recipients of this award must be below the age of 35 years.

OUTSTANDING PERSON WITH DISABILITY CONTRIBUTOR AWARD:

This award is awarded to a person with a disability who has achieved excellence in the film and television industry.

OUTSTANDING PROVINCIAL CONTRIBUTOR AWARD:

This award is awarded to an outstanding individual, group or a particular initiative that has contributed significantly towards developing the film and television industry in a respective province.

EMERGING FILMMAKER AWARD

This award is awarded to a “new-comer” in the film and television industry that is creating or producing brilliant work.

All nominations must include a profile of the person being nominated, a copy of their CV and must be submitted to staceyl@nfvf.co.za by the    2nd of April 2021.
