The National Film and Video Foundation calls for applications for a training service provider

The National Film & Video Foundation (NFVF) is a statutory body mandated to spearhead the equitable growth and development of the SA film and video industry.

The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), is pleased to announce that applications for a Training Service Provider are now open.

The purpose of this funding is to provide funding to accredited service providers:

  • Assist new entrants in launching successful careers by delivering programmes with on and off job training
  • Provide skills programmes for professionals already in the industry, in order to enhance their career development by delivering targeted training and development initiatives

The following criteria will be considered: 

  • The curriculum offered must be SETA or Department of Higher Education accredited
  • The curriculum must clearly indicate the intended target audience, relevant industry skill and the delivery method
  • Preference will be given to service providers offering training in underserviced province/s
  • The trainers must have a proven track record and the ability to deliver on the  proposed programmes
  • A detailed and comprehensive budget must be submitted
  • BEE Status – Black ownership and management, preference will be given to black female applicants

Required documents:

  • Complete application form
  • Cover letter
  • Proof of registration with the Department of Higher Education or relevant authority (refer to South African Qualifications Authority guidelines)
  • Proof of the success rate of past training initiatives
  • Financial plan (including the list of additional project sponsors and their planned contributions to the project)
  • Course curriculum
  • Training outcomes
  • Learner selection criteria
  • List of trainees’ anticipated competencies
  • Details of practical training while on the course
  • Details of post programme support
  • Assessment and evaluation criteria
  • CVs of tutors and proof of appointment
  • Valid tax clearance certificate
